quite contrary

"Yes. You have found it."
Such is the comment from Storm I found when I got home from school. So simple a statement. I suppose she's responding to my realization that the labels on her posts categorize her entries as truths (the codespeak) and lies (the normal writing.) So this is what Storm was telling us- But what does it mean?

The most probable of my theories is that Storm is labeling her posts as such to further obscure herself from whatever it is she's hiding from. It doesn't make a lot of sense immediately of course, since it doesn't actually hide anything. Of course, neither does hiding your words in binary or base-64 even though it's a simple matter to decode it, yet we see that constantly. If you think about it, it doesn't make sense. It's illogical. Therefore, we must be talking about a force that doesn't adhere to human logic.

Then the question now is: What is Storm hiding from? What could drive her to obscure her words in a maze of meanings and codes? That's what I want to find out.

The obvious conclusion, considering our interests, would be that our dear friend Mr. Tall Dark and Tentacled got to her. However, I'm not willing to completely believe that is the case. Not yet, anyway. Honestly, at this point, I don't know what I believe in. The idea of Slenderman actually existing hasn't actually sunk in. I guess I haven't registered it as anything other than a game, even though I'm dealing with something real right now. Could he really be out there, physically and literally, hunting down Storm and Darby and others? It still seems like such a strange idea to me.

I'm starting to get a headache, and I'm not feeling well again today. I'd like to take a nap, but I know if I keep taking naps in the middle of the day, my sleep cycle will be completely wrecked. Consciousness it is, then.

  1. I'm sorry if I seem... flippant about Slenderman, considering everything some of you have gone through with him. I don't mean to disrespect or imply that he's not a serious threat, but... It just doesn't seem real to me.

  2. Hey, same attitude here Holly, and I'm getting treated important now too.

It'll be okay. Game or not, we'll all figure something out.

  3. The strangest things never seem real when they happen, Holly. But, then again, the world's full of even stranger things--how else do you explain the platypus?

  4. Holly, please take a look at my newest entry on my blog, Into The Truth. Perhaps you may find some words of wisdom to help you, and others such as Darby and Storm, to stay strong during these troubled times.

Storm may not have been touched directly by Slenderman yet, but she may have his presence around her, affecting her and the way she is to others. It is stated that Slenderman's "physical body" doesn't really work based on our own physics, but on the physics of perhaps some other world/dimension. Maybe his way of thinking is the same. Perhaps the coded speak that she and Darby have used is just simply to disguise their thoughts, feelings and emotions, because Slenderman's mind cannot comprehend codes. Just a theory right now, but maybe there is something more to it. If you need somebody to talk to, I am here for you. Just as I am here for anybody trapped in this world.

  5. Wildly off topic, but your new icon is quite fetching, Holly.

  6. @Lucien
I read your blog entry- Thanks. :) It really is helpful; it's good to hear some encouraging words. I appreciate it. <3

Oh, thanks! I play with Photoshop too much, heh.

  7. Lucien is right. He reads emotions. Fear. Numbers and letters, random, have no feeling, emotion.

    Keeps us safe.

    I'll be around, most likely.

  8. No such thing as playing with Photoshop too much if that's the result.

  9. @Thage, I agree. Though I am terrible with photoshop myself, you can still have as much fun with it as you can. My mother is a prime example of that, lol.

@Darby, thank you for confirming my theory for me. Perhaps this can be applied in other ways for us to help others.

@Holly, I am doing what I can to help others. Besides being the investigator I have been trying to be, I think I may have discovered another role that I have in this game.
